Section 1 - At the October meeting of the GNPC Members, the President shall appoint a Nominating Committee consisting of three club members.

Section 2 - It shall be the duty of this committee, at the next to last meeting of the club year, to present a slate of members in good standing who are willing to serve, for the offices indicated in ARTICLE VI, Section 3 of the Bylaws. At this meeting additional candidates may be nominated from the floor by any member in good standing. Such nominations, when seconded, shall be included in the list of candidates.

Section 3 - The election of officers shall take place at the last meeting of the club year as prescribed in Article VI, Section 3, immediately following the announcement of candidates by the Nominating Committee. The candidates receiving the highest number of votes for each office shall be declared elected, and shall serve until their successor is installed. Each member in good standing is entitled to one vote. After tabulation of the votes, the results shall be announced by the President.  Elections shall be conducted by e-mail to all members. Or, as determined by the Nominating Committee, require an in-person vote as long as sufficient notification is given to club members.  Votes will be determined by the number of responses received.

Section 4 – President and Vice President shall be elected for a term of two years.  There is no term limit for the Secretary/Treasurer.

Section 5 - Officers-elect shall be installed on January 1st following the election. Neither the President or the Vice President shall serve in the same post for more than two (2) consecutive terms (ie 4 years maximum). In the event at the end of 2 consecutive terms for either the President of Vice President that a viable successor is not named, each Officer can remain in their post for 6 month durations if recommended by the Nominating Committee and only until a viable election can occur to install new leaders.
